A brilliant take on the compilation of Charles dickens

Of all the others that have influenced me, none have greater than the works of Charles Dickens.  I love his polts, story line, characters, twists and endings.  Of all the authors that have ever existed, it is him that I so wish and aspire to be.  Not many things captivate me... ((and I wish so wish to be captivated)) but the works of Mr. Dickens does.

I have seen all of his works translited to film, and this creation by BBC was a complete home run.

The plot revoloves around the death of Jacob Marley, Scrooges business partner.  It gives the backstories of how ruthless Jacob Marley truely was to earn his shakles in Hell.

But this series does not stop there, and entertwines into this investigation every major character that Charles Dickens ever developed allowing their lives to cross paths.

Extremely entertaining to any Charles Dickens fan, as you learn the inside story of how Miss Haversham became so hateful and manipulative, the back story on what led to saga of Bleakhouse, how Oliver Twist came into the lives of the ruthless Bumbles.  

All as Detective Bucket investates which of Dickens' charaters murdered the much hated Jacob Marley.

This is one series that I could watch over and over again.

Brilliantly written, acted and directed.
