Pharaoh Pepi II 2246-2152 BC Pepi II became king at an early age. He despised flies buzzing around him so he positioned several naked slaves stationed around him always. They were his human fly trap. He coated them in honey to attract the flies away from him. He liked the honey layered on so thick that the flies would stick to the slave like fly paper. For a man who hated flies so much it brought him much entertainment to see how many flies his trap would catch. He thought his discoveries to be brilliant since the idea was entirely his. He bragged on his invention to everyone who came to his palace; thinking other dignitaries would pick up on his idea and use it in their kingdoms. The others were not impressed and he became nicknamed "The Fly King". He was the pharaoh of Egypt that ruled during the time of the Great Flood. Hab-Sed: |

What Advanced Readers Are Saying"Reading Lantz's work is like taking a ski lift. As you read, it gently takes you higher and higher, and before you know it you are looking down from the heavens and everything is even more beautiful than ever imagined." Ellendale Kennedy |
